Operations Manager
Be able to perform end-to-end Equities, Mutual funds, and Options Transactions/Corporate actions etc.
Check and verify that all securities/trade transactions are completed, settlements instructions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Review all trade matching reports and ensure all failed trades are promptly resolved.
Ensure funding sufficiency for trade settlements.
Reconciliation trade/shares, corporate actions for Equities, Mutual funds, and Options.
Identifying gaps, ensuring controls are implemented to close those gaps, review operational risk and put-up recommendation with timely updating of standard operating procedures.
Setup of process flow for new products and markets with a counterparty/ custodian and streamline the process.
Interpret data and make recommendations for the launch of new products/services and upgraded platforms.
Adhering to control procedures, manage escalate and resolve all requests/inquiries/issues/errors and identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes.
Participating in project initiatives and taking up ad hoc tasks as required.
Support change by assisting in devising and implementing improved processes and global entity operations function.
This job will experience a rotation of roles within the Operations team. Might need to go on routine shift work.
Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience with more than 6 years of relevant experience in Equities or Derivatives in either the retail or institutional business.
Trade support/settlement in either stockbroking firms, custodian/banks or clearinghouse.
Possess knowledge and experience in Equities/Options/ Mutual funds etc.
Understands the entire trade flow from front to back and the reconciliation process.
Knowledge of payment and receipt skillsets.
Attention to detail and intermediate problem-solving skills.
Fluent in Mandarin & English (verbal & written) is a must as communication with Chinese-speaking counterparts in China is necessary.
Enjoys engaging in teamwork with a positive and constructive attitude.
Proficient in MS office and Excel.

Attend to clients’ enquiries on account-related, trading-related matters via various channels.
Ensure a smooth end-to-end client experience to drive clients’ retention and satisfaction.
Facilitate the proper execution of trades for clients in an accurate and timely manner.
Perform other dealing functions such as assessing risk and preparing trade reports.
Support multiple key projects such as onboarding of new products, platform development, and other deliverables.
Assist in any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using customer service software and tools.
Experience in related industry will be advantageous.
CMFAS CM-CMP (or equivalent) and RES12B papers (for license application).
